2020 Edge Security Company of the Year

Barracuda is thrilled to learn that we have been named by CRN in their list of 25 Hottest Edge Security Companies for the year of 2020 for our Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) portfolio. SASE combines wide area networking, or WAN, with network security functions like secure web gateway (SWG), cloud access security broker (CASB), firewall as a service (FWaaS) and zero-trust network access (ZTNA) to support the dynamic secure access needs of businesses. SASE tools can identify sensitive data or malware, decrypt content at line speed, and continuously monitor sessions for risk and trust levels. In July 2020, Barracuda debuted the first secure global SD-WAN service built natively on Microsoft Azure to optimize performance and minimize cost by replacing inflexible network connectivity circuits. In November, Barracuda purchased remote access vendor Fyde to provide employees and contractors working from home on BYOD equipment with secure access to cloud or on-premises applications and workloads.

The Talkin' Cloud 100 report recognizes the IT channel's top 100 cloud services providers (CSPs) based on such metrics as annual cloud services revenue growth, both in actual dollars and in percentage growth rates. The report is based on data from Talkin' Cloud's online survey, conducted January through May. Intronis earned #46 in the report, which names Salesforce, Amazon and Microsoft as the top three suppliers. The leading 100 CSPs of 2013 generated more than $15.7 billion in combined cloud services revenues, up nearly 37 percent from the previous year.
